Both urban requalification processes presented by two work groups guided by Ceetrus Management & Development have passed the first qualification phase of “Reinventing Cities”, the international urban and environmental regeneration competition promoted by the Municipality of Milan, together with C40.

The first project, entitled “Milano per LOC” – is based in the Loreto area and was presented with Ceetrus, together with the architecture firms Andrea Caputo and Metrogramma Milano. The project, focused on sustainability, the implementation of green areas and the promotion of social richness, has drawn together a number of partners, involved on different fronts: Arcadis for Development Management, ESG, for environmental strategies and Carbon Footprint, Land for landscape development, MIC for mobility,Starching for engineering aspects and Siemens for technology. Futureberry and Squadrati have been entrusted with studying the territory and analysing social trends, whereas Temporiuso is tasked with local needs analysis.

“Redesigning Piazzale Loreto means above all radically rethinking the issue of traffic mobility by balancing it with slow and gentle mobility, altogether absent inthis area, for continuity between viale Buenos Aires, viale Monza and viale Padova. For us project designers, this encourages the creation of a place that is open to all communities in Loreto, a public space and a quality environment that can contribute towards building an international image for itself and Milan, a symbol of contemporary architecture founded above all on open space and people”. Team Mlano for LOC

The second project – called “BIM, Bovisa in the making” – focuses on the requalification of the Bovisa area. Once more,Ceetrus leads a work group consisting of: One Works with Studio Battisti for the architectonic project, Arcadis for Development Management, ESG for environmental strategies, Carbon Footprint and mobility, with the architect Maddalena Gioia Gibelli for the study of the landscape, AI Engineering for engineering aspects, Edoardo Tresoldi for Public Urban Art and lastly Futureberry, for the definition of social inclusion actions.

“BIM is a project that consolidates the character of Bovisa, it transforms it into a central place of the poly-centric city and connects with the regional scale and opportunities of the metropolitan dimension, rooting it to railway connections, the resident scientific community, the area’s industrial history and creative present. Sustainable by vocation and by choice”. Team BIM Bovisa in the Making

The participation of Ceetrus in Reinventing Cities is perfectly in line with the company’s vision, whose primary objective is to contribute towards regenerating cities of the by future by transforming the minto living spaces at the service of citizens and which encourage the development of social ties.
